Understanding the Value of Loyalty - Episode #2

The episode discusses the importance of loyalty and its impact on your quality of life. There are exceptional qualities associated with someone loyal, but there is also an understanding that compromise is often necessary when you find yourself in that position.

Although this is one of my top five, I see many people who pride themselves on this value, yet struggle to communicate their needs effectively. The guilt that ensues because they feel it’s a reflection of them, without realizing that there will be times in your life when you have to say no.

Saying no is okay, but you have to build up that tolerance, especially if you feel like you're overexerting yourself.

Would you consider yourself a loyal person to others? The person that people can depend on, but although it’s a remarkable trait to have, others find themselves struggling with the idea of boundaries. Your heart is pure, but sometimes people take advantage of it.

I share some of those experiences that you may be able to relate to, and help you understand the pros and cons of this value. It’s imperative to learn how to operate healthily, but also to find the space to prioritize yourself.

Remember to let your values lead, and the healing follow.
